Description

This damper control regulates airflow between the freezer and fresh-food compartments to help maintain proper refrigerator temperatures. Replaces a faulty or stuck damper to restore balanced cooling and reduce temperature imbalance. What it does:

• Opens and closes the air channel to let cold air flow from the freezer into the refrigerator section
• Helps stabilize fresh-food compartment temperature when functioning correctly
• Can cause warm refrigerator compartment or overly cold freezer when it fails
• May produce rattling or clicking noises if the flap is broken or the actuator is damaged
