Steve for Model Number SHU5312UC11 I just replaced the water fill valve - BSH 00425458 (as suggested in your previous response to my problem) and the machine still displays a "1" at the end and never shuts off. Any other thoughts?
Answer Hello Steve, If the water valve was at fault there will be some water in the base of the unit and the flood switch will be activated. This basically tells the control there is a water leak and all the unit will do is try to drain until the water in the base is emptied. I always use the corner of a towel that has not been washed with fabric softener, (since the softener will repel water instead of soaking it up). The easiest way to clear this water is by removing the water valve and fishing the towel into the bottom of the base through this opening. Be careful not to damage the Styrofoam float in the bottom. When the water in the base is removed the unit should resume normal operation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 22, 2014
