Bryce for Model Number SHX33A05UC / 14 FD 8302 01309 10 year old Bosch dishwasher won't stop washing. Keeps going for hours until I cancel cycle and drain. Is this a simple repair or should I just buy a new d/w? Is repair cost effective for 10 year old dishwasher?
Answer Hello Bryce, You are most likely not hearing the circulating pump, but the drain pump. If you remove the water valve you can use the opening to check for water in the base. Most of the time on this design, the water valve isn't opening all of the way and a dribble of water into the base has activated the flood switch. In this case, the water valve 00425458 replacement and drying the water from around the flood switch float will correct the situation. Read More...
