Manufacturer Part Number: 00676967

The Control Unit is an OEM component specifically designed for Bosch dishwashers. It houses all of the electronic components that operate and monitor dishwasher functions.

The control unit works behind the scenes to coordinate different aspects of each cycle, from water inlet to drainage and motor functions. Integrated circuits and boards ensure precise wash times and temperatures.

Symptoms of a bad control unit include:

  • Failure to start or run through cycles normally
  • Error codes or blinking lights that can’t be reset
  • Unresponsive or inconsistent responses to control input
  • Inability to heat water properly for sanitization

Causes include moisture damage, power surges that can fry circuitry, or normal component degradation over thousands of hours of operation.

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Jim for Model Number SHX43C02UC/46

Bosch SHX43C02UC/46. Before starting the dishwasher, a pump running noise occurs as soon as the power button is pressed with door open. Will not stop unless power button is turned off. Drains and fills normally. Cycles normally and dishes are clean and hot. Problem only happens occasionally. Seems to resolve by leaving power off for a little while. Removal of door and kickplate shows no leaks or standing water, all electrical connections are secure. Spray arms, filters are clean. Could this be control board or something else?

Answer

Jim, For this issue check for a possible stuck float switch on the unit. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be a faulty main control board.

Answer

Jim, The issue could be the pressure chamber switches, or float, still. Before you replace the control board we would recommend you check or replace the pressure chamber 00440670 since the problem is intermittent.
