The Electrode is an OEM part for Bosch gas ranges. It is a component responsible for generating the spark required to ignite gas burners on the cooktop. 

Causes of a bad electrode can include cracks, deterioration, or damage over time from repeated exposure to high heat during use. Corrosion from spills or residue buildup can also potentially compromise function.

Symptoms of a bad electrode include:

• Difficulty lighting one or more gas burners  
• Burners lighting intermittently or inconsistently
• Small flames or burners failing to light entirely
• Burners extinguishing unexpectedly
