Yates for Model Number Frigidaire FGGF3058RWA Gas/Convection Out of the blue, while the oven was not on or in use, the oven control board engaged the meat probe setting overriding any use of the oven. I have never used the meat probe, but it's activated and I don't have use of the oven and it won't disengage. I have tried turning power off for over a minute to reset, both with the probe inserted and not inserted, but nothing has worked thus far. Do I need a new control board or is it the meat probe that needs to be replaced--or maybe another solution? Range top, clock, oven light, and timer continue to work normally. Please help!
Answer Yates, it is possible that the meat probe jack has a bridged connection. This can occur from vapors from food sticking to the socket and creating a short. The jack can be tested by unplugging the power supply cord and accessing the main control. The two wires found at connection P12 would need to be tested for continuity. If there is continuity, the probe jack 316536900 would need to be replaced. If there is not continuity, the main control 316560118 would need to be replaced. Read More...
