Daniel for Model Number 253.28432800 In May I replaced the Compressor Start Capacitor which, seemingly, solved the restart problem. The problem is back.- Compressor shuts down, the HI-Temp light comes on. Adjusting the Temp has NO affect. As before, Unplugging the machine and re-plugging starts it every time. Is this still a Run Capacitor problem - defective? What else could be going on? Thanks
Answer Daniel, sometimes replacing a failed start device on the compressor is a sign of a compressor that ios failing. Ass the compressor starts to fail, it draws more amperage and will burn out the start device. Replacing the start relay is a temporary fix. The capacitor is not really necessary in starting the compressor, it is used to help the compressor run more efficiently. I believe you are going to need to replace the compressor. Replacing the compressor is best performed by a licensed technician. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 16, 2019
