Don for Model Number Kenmore C970-658931 My double element switch failed. I contacted Sears and they supplied me with the new part number for the replacement switch, 903057-9010. The diagram provided to change the wires over from the old switch to the new switch is garbage. On the original switch I have 2 red wires together on one terminal and 2 black wires together on one terminal, a single white wire with heat resistant coating on one terminal, an orange heat resistant wire (going to the element) with another orange wire(going to the other single burner switch) and both orange wires are connected together on one terminal and finally a yellow heat resistant wire on one terminal heading to the burner. With the new switch I have the following labelled terminals which I need to know the corresponding colour I have to connect with the new switch. Travelling clockwise on the switch the first 2 terminals are tied together and labelled (L1)2, the next terminal is (L2), on the next side the first terminal is (P)5, the next terminal is(H2)4, the last terminal on the bottom is (L2b)N, going up the other side of the switch the terminal is right beside the previous label (L2b)N and then the final two terminals are connected together and labelled as H1(3). Could someone please tell me what corresponding colours go to the new universal switch 903057-9010 I purchased? I am hoping there is someone who can solve my problem. Please and thank you!
Answer Don, The model number listed is not coming up as being valid. We would need to have the correct model number to be able to see if we can get a wiring diagram so that we can assist with the wiring of your unit. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
