Johnny for Model Number FEC9X6XESA Hi, my Electric cooktop FEC9X6XESA upper left 8" single element died. so we bought a replacement and the repairman says the switch is bad too, but no original switch is available - instead, we were given 903057-9010. couldn't get it to work as the wiring diagram is different from the original switch. the repair guy tried a couple of ways with 2 different switches, managed to pop the circuit breaker but still, the element doesn't work. can you help with - is the switch correct? and can you help with the color wire as to where it goes? I read a post with your answer to Rick but his model number is FEC36S8HBA. will it work the same way? I would appreciate your help. thanks, Johnny
Answer Johnny, the double black wire would go to L1 and the double red wire would go to L2. The wire going to the outer terminal of the element (where the three terminals are located on one side) would go to 4, the wire going to the middle terminal would go to 3, the wire going to the L shaped terminal would be placed at N. The wire going to the two separated terminals on the element would go to the terminal 5 on the switch. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 21, 2020
