Terry for Model Number FEC36S8HBA FEC36S8HBA cooktop, have one of the dual element burners sticking on, when the switch is off. Ordered one of your 903057-9010 replacements. The wiring terminals are completely different? I have a double black wire, a double red wire, a yellow wire, a single red wire, a light brown wire and an orange wire. I know the 2 double wires are the 2 hot legs. I think the yellow and orange go to the burner elements (h1,h2). The brown is the indicator light (P). What has me confused is the original switch had both the double red and single red wire on the N spade. I know the double red wire is the other hot leg and the new switch has both N and L2. Do I replicate the old switch hookup on the new switch, or does the double red go to the L2 terminal? I tried this way, and everything works except the center burner. I suspect it might be burnt out, but I tried with double red on N and on L2 and neither way makes the center burner work. The outside element does work either way. What is the correct hookup for this new switch?
Answer Terry, the double red will go to L2, the single red will go to L2b, the double black will go to L1, brown wire to P, yellow wire to H1, and the orange wire to H2. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 25, 2022
