Deb for Model Number fdb700bfbo The dishwasher has power. I can hear water going into the unit, as well as drain. The knob will turn on its own, however, when it gets to the washing cycle, nothing happens, as in it is silent. The heating element seems to have black flakes coming off of it, as well as the dishwasher tab isn't dissolving. I find it in a clump at the bottom of the tub. Hope you can steer me in the right direction. Thanks!
Answer Hello Deb. You need to test and see if there is power coming to the motor. If so, and the motor does not run, you will need to order and replace the motor in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
