Stlouis Jjl for Model Number dwsr405gb1ww What is the torque limit for the blower clamp screw? How tight is tight? I have hand tightened the screw but after a few minutes the blower clamp releases and the blower wheel slides forward and scrapes the front frame. Upon inspection the screw appears to have a damaged thread about 1/2 inch from the end. Does the rear clamp need to be straightened if the torque was exceeded?
Answer Hello Stlouis JJL There is no torque specification on the clamp screw. If the screw is damaged this would cause the clamp to loosen and you would want to replace the clamp. The rear clamp would need to be straighened if it is not in place properly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 5, 2013
