The quote was almost $500. I ordered the board, now I need to know where the board is located on the unit, how to access it, and the steps to walk me through replacing it. Are there any special tools needed?
Answer Hello James, Unplug the refrigerator and you will need to open the fresh food door and look straight up at the control box. There will be at least two screws holding it to the ceiling of the compartment. When removed, it will lower to provide access to the adaptive defrost control. No special tools are needed.
