Melinda for Model Number GE CTX18CASJRAD My refrigerator was having a problem staying cold (both fresh food side and freezer). I called a technician. He said it needed coolant added. Added coolant. Worked about a week, then defrosted and didn't come back on. Tech came back out last night and replaced a part that looked like a temperature control. Worked a while last night but it is warm this morning. I remembered he had turned a little adjustment behind a plug when he first came out which caused the refrigerator to come on. I turned that a bit this morning and it came on. I have no idea what to expect when I get home. What could be wrong or what parts could be bad?
Answer Hello Melinda, The part you turned the screw on is the defrost timer. If the timer is getting voltage from the temperature control as it should, the defrost timer WR9X520 is most likely defective. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 29, 2017
