Priti for Model Number GE TFX22CRXOHW The coils behind the back panel of the freezer are frozen and covered in a block of frost. How do I decide if I have faulty Defrost timer or defrost thermostat or the defrost heater. Is there a way to check defrost timer to eliminate possibilities. Thanks!
Answer Priti, You will want to do a continuity test on the defrost thermostat and defrost heater. If either do not have continuity then you would need to replace that component. If they do have continuity then you would need to replace the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
