Steve for Model Number JBP78AOB1AA GE oven does not heat up to proper temperature. Food does not thoroughly cook. Both upper & lower elements do light up. Could it be the temp. sensor or the elements or both?
Answer Hello Steve, This is most likely the temperature sensor WB23X5340 or the control WB50T10043 or a connection between the two. The temperature sensor can be tested for resistance and should read about 1100 ohms at about 70°F. If good, the same reading should be present at the control board where the sensor harness connects, (to test the sensor harness). Be sure to tap on the sensor during the test in case of an intermittent connection. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 8, 2016
