Gary C for Model Number JTP15WW 2WW, installed in 1998. I get F3 error code when baking, even with the cooling fan running. I checked resistance at the terminal block on tabs 4 and 6 and got a high reading, about 1700 ohms. I now suspect the oven temperature sensor. Is that the culprit? Part no. AP2023862
Answer Hello Gary. Based on the information you provided, you will need to test the sensor. It should read 1100 ohms at room temperature and 1650 ohms at 350°. If it is off, and is reading 1700 ohms at room temp, you will need to replace the sensor WB23X5340. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
