Julia for Model Number JGP326WEV I have a GE Profile Gas Cooktop. One of my back burner is sparking even when the cooktop is not turned on. I got one of the burner and knob wet then other day and 2 of the burners kept sparking away every couple of seconds. Now it's only one of them every few minutes. What part should be replaced to repair this problem?
Answer Julia, If you unplug the power cord and wait another couple of days, or remove the burner knob and use a blow dryer to dry the ignition switch and wires, it'll probably solve the issue itself. If the problem persists, then you will want to start at the burner valve ignition switch WB24T10071 , the contacts could have shorted because of the water, then the spark module WB13K25.
