Robert for Model Number lfxc24726S/00 My LG 3 door (freezer bottom) evaporator is frosting up about every 2 weeks. Last hairdryer defrost I noted more for information. The heater element was warm to touch (approx 1-2 sec touch) but maybe from the hairdryer? Looking at your site about issues it seemed the defrost sensor or thermostat might be the issue. Comments?
Answer Hello Robert. You will need to test the heater MEE62225112 and the sensor 6615JB2005S in the unit. If both test good, then you will need to replace the main control board. Usually in most cases it is the thermal fuse in the sensor assembly 6615JB2005S that fails. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
