Donna for Model Number DLE5955W The dryer wont start when you push button. The display board lights up and the dial reads multiple types of settings. Was starting for a while when pushing start button hard, but not starting now. Similar thing with start button on wasing machine. Could it be part #ap4445409 or #ap4451021. My clothes also are not fully drying in one cycle.. That is a seperate issue. My email dbosco80@yahoo.com thank you
Answer Hello Donna. It sounds like you may have a few issues going on here. For the start button problem, you will need to replace the pcb assembly EBR36858901 and for the drying problem, It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 20, 2012
Answer Hi Donna. Check to make sure you are getting 240v to the dryer. If you are, you could have an issue with the control board display EBR36858901. Is there any fault codes at the display like any lights flashing ? The display board is a user interface control that transfers the commands to the main control board to send voltage to start the unit. You need to remove the power and remove the 3-screws that hold the top at the back of the unit. Then slide back, up and off. Inspect the wires going to the interface and the main control board part # EBR36858801. There is a tech. sheet in a folded packet in the inside of the cabinet that you can use to diagnose the field service mode. You need to check the wire connections going into and out of the line filter as they have short wires and may be barley pushed in. Thank You. Read More...
