Gordon, Based on the model, this is not showing a ce or OF error code. You will want to get the tech sheet from in the unit and will need to see if it shows these error codes but would suggest testing the motor to make sure that the rps sensor or the motor is not faulty.

Gary, You will wan to test for 120 vac to the main control board. If there is power to the main board and the display will not light up then check the wiring between the main board and the display board. If this checks ok then you will want to replace the display board on the unit.

Cooling light stays on, no heat to dryer. I tested and changed out thermal fuse. Tested heating element and it checks out ok according to directions. Exhaust is clean and clear. changed PCB board, still no heat and cooling light stays on. Even though continuity check on heating element shows it is ok, maybe i need to send back the PCB board and get a new heating element? i'm getting pretty good and taking this dryer apart, but am ready for it to work.

John, You will want to check the wiring between the moisture sensor bars and the control board to make sure that there is no loose or damaged wire which will cause this issue.

The dryer is running, timer is working and it is drying however the digital display and button lights are intermittently flickering bright to dim. I took the top off hoping to find a loose connection on the board but nothing. I'm guessing that it could be the User Control and Display Board EBR36858901 or the Main Control Board EBR36858801 or possibly something I could have overlooked which (hopefully) wouldn't involve a new part. Any help would be appreciated

LG DLE5955W electric dryer - Cooling indicator was on solid and no heat from the dryer. Pulled the thermal fuse and tested with a multimeter and it was bad. Ordered and replaced the thermal fuse. Dryer then generated heat, but the cooling light was still on. Dryer ran for a short while (one load), and then the thermal fuse blew again. Replaced the thermal fuse, along with all other temp reading components (thermostat, high temp thermostat, and thermistor) in case one of those was not regulating the temp appropriately. Turned dryer on and again heat is generated, but cooling light is still on. Turned it off this time before blowing another thermal fuse. Does this mean that the control board is bad? Is there any way to test the control board before I invest in swapping that expensive part out?

Steve, The first thing that you will want to do is check the venting of the unit from the blower wheel to the outside of your home to make sure there is no clog or blockage in it. If there is then it would need to be cleaned out as this would be the cause for blowing a thermal fuse. If the venting checks ok then it would be a bad control board.

Hello Nick, You should first verify voltage and polarity at the wall outlet. These are very important to an electronic control. If the checks out good, you will need to open the unit and check the Main PCB Assembly EBR36858801 for proper power input, (120Vac). The Main PCB is the part in question.

Michelle, Your first check needs to be at the breaker box. Being an electric dryer, make sure both 30 amp breakers are reset and locked in place(reset both breakers several times). Then check the terminal block and line cord for loose connections, the check or replace the control board.

Hello Michael. It sounds like there is a power issue coming to the unit if there is not 120 volts between black and white. You need to check the breaker and outlet for the unit.
