Erik for Model Number LFXC24726S/02 Is this motherboard an updated version? My refrigerator keeps on having frost in the refrigerator section and have to defrost every 3 months. I read somewhere there is an updated motherboard that would extend defrosting time.
Answer Erik, the main control EBR78940615 is going to be the most up-to-date version that the manufacturer provides. However, the frost build-up could be a failure of the defrost heater MEE62705114 or the defrost sensor and fuse assembly 6615JB2005R. The sensor should read more than 30KO when frozen up and the attached fuse should have continuity. The defrost heater should measure between 105-117O. Read More...
