Gene for Model Number Kenmore model #795.72032.110 My freezer is not getting cold enough. My ice cream and other foods were thawing out. The refrigerator is not quite cold enough either. I'm pretty handy with repairs. I'm trying to check if the coil inside the freezer is frozen or not; which would tell me it is a defrost problem. I can't see ice build up, but can't get to the coil to check. Could this be my problem? What else could I check? My refrigerator is only 5 years old.
Answer Hello Gene. You will need to remove the back panel inside the freezer to check the coils. If the frost pattern is not even, you will have a sealed system failure and will need an HVAC tech to come out and repair the unit. Read More...
