Jeff for Model Number lfxs30766s Hi, my freezer works and so did ice maker. I noticed my fridge section getting warmer, stays around 47 deg when set to 33. I cleaned the coils near the compressor, verified no flashing lights on main board. I opened the back fridge panel over evaporator and noticed a block of ice on the upper left side, I defrosted and removed it, and the temp didn't changed. I ran diagnostics from main board and fans work, and so does heating element in evaporator section. So I changed the defroster sensor. No luck. Now I'm not sure what to do next. I see another sensor on the evaporator cover between what looks like an intake vent, and the led light.. is that the fridge temp sensor? Should I be looking at that, or the thermistor by the compressor? Thank you.
Answer Jeff, if the compressor is running for long periods of time and an ice ball is accumulating on the corner where the copper tubes attach to the evaporator, the failure would be a sealed system failure and would require an EPA-certified technician to diagnose and repair.
