Dondog for Model Number 795.71033.010 Freezer is cold. Ice maker USED to work fine, not sure now. The fan in the rear of fridge near the coils runs fine; coils are clean. Water drains into the drip pan back there fine. Behind the freezer panel ONE fan (on the right if you are looking at the fridge from the front) runs fine. The 2nd fan behind this same panel (for the ice maker?) doesn't run, NOR does the fan that is behind the panel above in the fresh foods compartment. I test the thermostat in the fresh foods compartment, and it reads about 12K ohms..... which seems to say that my thermostat thinks the fridge temp is around 15 Deg Farh right? I bought a new thermostats (#6500JB2001B) and it reads the same 12K Ohms. what is the correct Ohm rating for a new thermostat? (should be around 3 right?) Fridge has been unplegged for 2 days now so it's warm. When I plug it in, should all 4 fans normally start running right away to cool it all down? Why is my fresh foods area not cooling? THANK YOU!
Answer Dondog, With the fans not running, check to see if there is 12 vdc getting to the fans. If there is then the fans would be faulty and if there is not then this will be a faulty main control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 18, 2023
