Jack for Model Number frto54gm I am a retired hvac/r guy I have this old frig. Which gets stuck in defrost ok. I can roll it out ok, but it just gets stuck again. I looked at the the heater and defrost terminator and found this resistor in line with the defrost controls circuit. I dont have a schematic. Can you tell me what its for and what effect it could have on keeping the timer in defrost? thank you
Answer Jack, The resistor that is in line is there for the purpose of not allowing the power to spike and keep a steady flow of electricity.
