Alan W for Model Number SMH9187W I have no display lights...nothing. Wife punched in time to cook something ...hit enter and all the display lights went out. I checked the two fuses located on the small fuse and main power small board and even changed them...nothing. I checked the black and the white power plug that plugs into this board and had 120 v. Do you think the main control board might be bad? We had it replaced about 2 years ago from a Samsung recall...it kept giving error code but it has worked perfect since. If you can help me know how to see if the board is bad or if I need to check something else, your help would be greatly appreciated and I will purchase parts from you if needed. Thank You, Alan
Answer Hello Alan. Yes, the board is bad on the unit. If there is power coming to the board and nothing coming out, or no display, you will need to replace the control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
