Answer

Jason, the refrigerator evaporator is not going to have a defrost heater. The refrigerator side is going to only have two sensors that are responsible for sensing when the evaporator needs to be in a defrost state. However, they appear to only be available with the evaporator assembly itself [DA96-00020Q]. You may want to test the voltage going to the sensors as well as the resistance of the sensors. If the defrost sensor from cn30 pin 8 to pin 6 reads 0 ohms or 0L, then the sensor is bad. The resistance level of the sensor also depends on the temperature of the sensor itself. The defrost sensor should read more than 25.65 k ohms at normal temperatures of the evaporator.
