Rp for Model Number RH25H5611SR-AA

Model: RH25H5611SR-AA Purchase: 2016 Issue: Control panel is showing a blinking 37 and the refrigerator part is not cooling Details: 2 months back, Suddenly observed that the control panel was blinking 37, and based on the manual it's due to high temperatures inside. Upon further research online, It could be due to an ice build-up which is blocking the fridge fan. As per some suggestion, We had done manual defrosting (switched off for 24 hours) and it was all working well for almost a month and a half. 2 weeks back suddenly, we heard a loud noise coming out when the fan is running. It could be a sign of again ice building up. After 2 days, the same issue appeared again. The control panel is showing a blinking 37 temp. As we were planning a travel, we switched it off for 8-10 hours and started again. It started working well. After a week, We are observing the same issue. I did some research on the possible cause of that. When manual defrosting is done, the Fan is running, and cooling is happening so the main issue would be in the temp sensor which is not melting ice. I am yet to order replacement parts as I am not sure about which part to order as there are 2 temp sensors listed under the fridge section for my model - (DA32-10105U & DA32-00029R) I have no idea about electronics and electrical devices plus can't completely rely on Google results. Before taking any action, I wanted to take some expert opinion on this pro website. Please guide me in fixing this issue as I didn't find anything wrong with other parts or components. Thank you very much in advance.

Answer

RP, the evaporator sensor would be part number DA32-00029Q for the model number provided. However, it would be recommended that the defrost heater DA47-00324C is tested to ensure it is not the cause of failure. The defrost heater should measure around 66 Ohms of resistance.
