Hello Oneal. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like you may have a bad lid switch assembly 3949247V. Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the two screws in the back corners of the control panel securing the control panel. Pull the control panel forward and flip it backwards. Next unplug the lid switch and remove the two brass colored clips securing the cabinet to the back wall using a flat blade screwdriver to pry them out. Pull on the front of the cabinet and slide the cabinet off the frame of the washer. You can now access and replace the lid switch 3949247V. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
