Gilbert S. for Model Number 86163100 How do I remove the dryer front panel? Do I remove the top panel first and if so, how do I do that? Do they just pry open or apart? The old or broken spring should be inside the front panel right?
Answer Hello Gilbert. Make sure the power is disconnected. You will need to remove the lint filter from the unit. Then remove the screws under the lint filter and use a flat blade to release the clips under the top panel of the unit. Raise the top panel and access the door switch. Unplug the door switch and remove the screws securing the front panel. Now you can remove the front panel from the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 8, 2012
