Marlene for Model Number MVWX700XL1 Washing machine was working fine except it sounded like a jet engine on the spin cycle so we replaced the gearcase and actuator. Gear case was definitely bad. When we run the calibration, the process starts and it agitates and sounds like its pumping, but then all the panel lights come on and the display reads 88. The lights go out and the process continues with spinning the basket and testing the water supply and finishes. Why is the display lighting up? We can run a load and it works fine except every once in awhile the clothes are still very damp when the load finishes. It obviously spun because the clothes are pushed to the sides, but they are still very damp. I can switch the cycle to rinse and spin and it works fine and the water in the clothes is fully spun out. Is the calibration failing? So its not coming up to speed on spin? There are no error codes coming up. Thanks
Answer Marlene, all of the LEDs should turn on when the calibration mode is started. However, based on the information provided, it sounds like either the calibration did not save or the control is not sensing speed properly. In this case, the most likely cause of failure would be the main control W10405819. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, December 19, 2023
