Lee for Model Number Whirlpool Dryer WGD6400SW1 The old door catch fell into the inside of the door. How do I take the door apart to get to the catch? I took the top piece screws out but could not get the top plastic piece off. I did not want to force it off. Can I use the old catch or should I buy a new catch W10111905? I did write to you several days ago, but have not gotten an answer. Regards Lee
Answer Hello Lee, To take door apart to get the catch out, you remove the screws that you took out. You also have to take the screws out from where hinges are on the door and on the opposite side of the door. This should be a total of 10 screws. You may want to check the bottom of the door to ensure that there are no screws on the bottom. Some manufacturers do put them on the bottom. Read More...
