Moore C for Model Number Whirlpool Refig. Ice Maker Model 2198597 The ice maker stopped working. I noticed the tray was full of ice which led me to think it was the heater. I pulled out defrosted and put back into service. It refilled and unloaded one cycle and quit again. Any thoughts?
Answer Moore, You will want to pull the icemaker and check the pins in the center of the large wheel to make sure that they are not broken. If broken replace the icemaker module. If they check ok then do a continuity test on the thermostat which are the 2 inner pins at the bottom with the module remove.
