Rich for Model Number KSRJ251MTI00 Ice maker stopped making ice. Lights work properly-2 sec, pause, 2 sec, solid when flap closed. Changed filter. No water entering ice maker. Teeth on ice maker up and facing away from front. Suspect bad ice maker but wish to be more certain before purchase. Repair video shows box indicating it is a Whirlpool Genuine part. Is it made by Whirlpool? New or refurbished? .
Answer Hello Rich, All parts we sell are authorized manufacturers' replacement parts. If your model number is actually KSRJ25IMST00 you will need to pull the icemaker and pull the motor module cover off. If one of the tabs in the center of the gear is gone or broken so there is no space between the tabs, the motor module has failed and will need to be replaced. You can either replace it 8201515 or you can replace the complete icemaker assembly 2198597 if you don't want to disassemble the icemaker and is not much more in price. Read More...
