Thomas S. for Model Number KSRB25FKSS03 I had my ice maker replaced in 2011, and now the system seems broken again. The tray fills up with water, and the ice freezes, but the ice is not ejected. I ran all the diagnostics on the optics, and they seem to be working fine. I have not done the jumper cable step with the motor to force eject, since I'd need to remove it from the holder. Happy to do that, but what would that essentially prove? Wondering if that step is worth it, or if I should just replace the unit (again).
Answer Hello Thomas, If the forced cycle operates properly, it proves that there is either a temperature issue in the freezer, (should be between 0°F and 10°F), or a failed icemaker cycling thermostat. It will also cause the water valve W10408179 to fill the icemaker 2198597 to prove if it is or is not operating properly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, October 1, 2021
