Joseph for Model Number 106.54616300 Hello, I purchased an icemaker part number AP3182733 just over two years ago. Unfortunately, my Fridge is not making ice again. Is there a way via a multimeter to test this part to make sure this is the cause of the problem? There is no water making it to the unit. If the unit is ok, I am guessing there is a solenoid valve might be bad, or the water line has iced up.
Answer Hello Joseph, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com There is no way to test the icemaker itself for resistance as the manufacturer has not provided that information. What can be done is to remove the cover from the head of the icemaker and check for voltage at the ports marked L and N for 120v AC with the door switches taped or held down and the ice level sensor door tricked so that it reads the ice bin in place. If that voltage is present then either the icemaker itself, the water valve AP5263471, or the wiring between the 2 has an issue. If the voltage at L-N is anything less than 110v AC then the issue would likely be with the ice level sensor boards AP5956767 unless you have no voltage present, at which point it may be the icemaker harness AP6006033.
