Tom for Model Number maytag model mtb1954drw I ordered an ice maker and fill valve from you last week , installed it and timer does not run to power the fill valve..I have 120 v at plug in freezer and at test points n & v on front of ice maker but no power to fill valve
Answer Tom, When you repalced the ice maker, did you check and make sure there were no looose connector pins, in the wall connector on the back wall of the freezer ? You can test the ice maker operation with a "jumper wire" remove 1/2 to 3/4 inch of insulation from both ends of the wire and insert 1 end in the "t" opening the other into the "h" opening(make sure you touch the internal contacts) the icemaker motor should start to advance, and you remove the jumper. You may want to repeat the test with the wires off the fill valve and re check for 120 VAC across the wires, when the ice maker activates the fill segment. Good Luck, and thanks for the inquiry Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, March 26, 2011
