Robert for Model Number KSRB25FSSHSS02 Slow drip (4 drops per minute) at front bottom of ice maker which forms long icicle into ice collection drawer. When icemaker is shut off problems stops once the liquid water in ice cube try is gone. Is this repairable. I have picture if you email me I can reply with image.
Answer Hello Robert, There could be several different things causing this. If the ice maker finish is cracked, it can leak, which would require the replacement of the ice maker. If the water inlet valve is bad and closing too slowly, this can result in a slow overfill of the ice maker. If there is insufficient water to the water inlet valve, this will cause the valve to close slowly or in some cases, never completely close. So, you should first remove the water line from the refrigerator and put the end in a plastic trash can or bucket and turn the water back on to see if there is sufficient water pressure. If there is, force the ice maker to cycle and watch the end of the fill tube. If the water is dripping from the end of the fill tube, replace the water inlet valve W10408179. If not, replace the ice maker 4317943. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 1, 2012
