Jax for Model Number gd5shaxlq02 I bought a replacement unit for the bad 2198597 unit, recieved it from you, and installed it. It made a batch of ice right away, but will not make another batch of ice until the wirearm control is turned to the down 'on' position with a small screwdriver. The ir controller blinks/solid properly if I hold the flapper. Do I need to replace the new im unit?
Answer Jax, If the wire arm control is in the up position then the unit will not make ice because it is shut off at this point. Make sure that it is staying down.
