Brian for Model Number Kitchenaid KUDM01TJ Unit will not run, except cancel/drain. All LED/buttons including Lock except Rinse only and High Temp Scrub light/function. Pulled control panel assembly and control board, no obvious problems in connections or wiring. Door switch sounds like it's working properly. Tried to run diagnostics per tech sheet but would not run (High Temp Button/circuit?). Probable fix panel, control board or both? Thanks!
Answer Brian, You're pretty much on target, Based on your information, you want to start by replacing the control panel / key pad assembly WP8270223 . It's more likely the issue, the keypads are subjected to usage, cleaning , and in some cases bumps and bangs, and a constant low electrical current. Make sure you run the diagnostics test mode, after you install the panel, that way you'll reset the control to the factory spec. settings Read More...
