Eric for Model Number MAH8700AWW Washer runs through cycles ok until it gets to the drain and spin, drains ok but starts to spin (in diagnostic mode watching rpms)only gets to about 180 rpm then stops and starts spin over and over again. My wife said she had a E-3 code pop up on screen but when I checked the codes all it has is a 2-E code which is replace control board. So what should I do or replace?
Answer Hi Eric. Check your motor control board and motor for loose connections. The machine control board is searching for the motor Tach. response that it is not getting. The E-3 code and the 2-E diagnostic code is the same code as the motor not moving,(locked rotor, hall effect switch sensor fault). The motor is part # WP34001437. If you do not find loose connections. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 14, 2011
