Mike--Washer Dead for Model Number MAH8700AWW I did some of the component testing procedures in the booklet taped in the machine. a/c power check was ok. The door lock check and the door unlocked check did not seem right. Both showed 120v a/c. Door unlock check-Pin 1 of CN5 and pin 8 of CN10 had 120V. Door lock check pin 1 of CN5 and pin 2 of CN7 had 120v and pin 1 of CN5 and pin 7 of CN10 had 120v. Is there something wrong with the door lock, or is this more control board problems? Have heard about all the problems with the wax motors and was wondering if this model could have the same problems and ruin a new control board. Too costly to take a chance.
Answer Hello Mike. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the door lock WP8182634 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the voltage is there, but the lock is not working properly, then it needs to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, November 17, 2011
