Al H. for Model Number GEW9200LQ0 Dryer not heating. I found a tech sheet inside the dryer and went step by step. I have continuity from the thermal cut off all the way through the heater coil. The thermal fuse checks good and the thermistor read about 8K ohms. This tech sheet says the electronic control board is bad. The board is $188 on your web sight. But I wanted to make sure before I purchase it. What do you think.
Answer Hello Al. As long as everything test good, and the voltage is correct, you can remove the wires from the heater and test from there. Each wire should have 120 volts AC to ground. When you locate the dead wire, trace it and see if it goes to the board. If so, you will need to replace the control board WP8546219. Hope this helps. Read More...
