Charlie for Model Number GEW9200LL1 dryer will not turn on troubleshouting acording to teh sheet power to p1-5 and neutral p1-2 are good sheet says to replace the machine control board cost $188. Prior to total failure dryer would beep intermitantly while in operation. It also failed to operate once before, I shut off the breaker for approximately 10 min. then turned it on and it worked but still beeped
Answer Charlie, You most likely have a bad User Interface 3980189, it contains the speaker and circuits to start and run the dryer. Do you have any Fail codes displayed on the control console ? and have you checked the door switch circuit for proper operation ? You could also check for 120 VAC on the main control board (P1 pin 4 to chassis ground when the start button is pressed) would be power out to the motor.
