Mark G for Model Number GEW9250PWO All lights are on and the dryer goes to sensing with timers working but unit will not start. Can this be something other than control board?
Answer Hello Mark, You will want to check the thermal fuse to make sure that it is good. The thermal fuse will be located in the area of the blower housing and you will want to check for continuity. If the fuse does not have continuity then you will want to replace the fuse. IF the fuse is no good then you will also want to check to make sure that your vent is not clogged. Check vent from blower all the way to the outside of home. This is the normal cause of the thermal fuse blowing. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
