If the control is not for the model listed, there may be an issue with the temperature not being calibrated correctly for the unit it is being installed into. Basically this means that the control will not match the set value. In this case, the unit may run too long and freeze items in the fresh food compartment or it may not run long enough and items will be kept a too warm a temperature and items are in danger of spoilage. Since appliance parts are listed by model number and temperature ranges for them are not provided by the manufacturer, we cannot say that this will be a good substitute unless the manufacturer lists them as a good cross.
