C.Grant for Model Number RB191TV Bought a used fridge, seemed to cool at first but after a week or so the fridge started getting warm, then the freezer started getting warm. There is ice buildup on the roof of the fridge and the floor of the freezer. I unplugged unit let it completely defrost, plugged it back in and it got super cold. The timer seems to be working because I've noticed a couple of times when it stops running it is for about 20 minutes each time. The light also flickers and the fresh food control dial was replaced before I bought it. I'm thinking defrost thermostat, what do you think? Thank you!!!
Answer C. Grant, The most likely cause for this issue would be a defrost issue and would be caused by either a bad heater or bad defrost thermostat. Both can be tested for continuity.
