Tr for Model Number SCDT25H My Amana sided by side stopped cooling both sides.I read some articles on line, looked at some of the answers that were given. I pulled the thermostat out and found both wires off the stat can't believe they would vibrate off.it tripped the GFI.possible one of those wires went to ground and caused it to trip not sure. It is cooling now, will see if it's still working in the am. I think the defrost timer is what caused the GFI to trip and the wires came off when I remove it from the housing. Any ideas. Thank you.
Answer TR, the loose thermostat wires didn't vibrate off, it's like you mentioned, they came loose when you were servicing the refrigerator, or they may have gotten moisture in the connector, and the ice caused the connections to expand and come off the terminals. Let the refrigerator run a few days, if the defrost timer is at fault, the problem it will reoccur. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, September 25, 2014
