Pc7060 for Model Number Amana SRD21VW side by side My Amana SRD21VW side by side has a problem with the freezer allowing the ice to melt and then refreezing (as a big block). Ice is now melting long enough to leak out of freezer. I believe the issue is with the defrost controller; is this system controller by a timer or thermistor?
Answer Hello PC7060 This units defrost is controlled by a defrost timer R0131577. If the timer is sticking this would cause the issue. Also check to make sure that condenser coils are clean and that the condenser fan motor is operational. These are also things that could cause the unit to not function properly. Read More...
